Payment Links

A payment link is a public URL that opens a ready-made checkout. You create the link without writing code, pick the amount (fixed or open) and share the URL with whoever is going to pay. In the menu, open Charge → Payment Links.

The look of the page the link opens comes from a checkout template. See Checkout.

  1. Click Create link.
  2. In Checkout template, pick the template of the page the link opens. Ready-made templates show "(preset)".
  3. In Amount type, pick Fixed amount or Customer enters.
  4. With a fixed amount, type the Amount. Right below, The link will charge shows the amount as the screen read it.
  5. Pick the Currency: BRL, EUR, USD, GBP or Other…. With Other…, type the 3-letter ISO code.
  6. Type the Product name. The Description is optional and shows in the checkout.
  7. If you want, fill in Max uses, Expires on and Success URL (where the buyer goes after paying).
  8. Click Create link.

The screen shows Link created, with the public URL and a copy button. Click Done to go back to the list.

Currency with no payment method. When your account has no payment method in a currency, it shows in the list with "no payment method" and the screen warns that a link in that currency could not be paid. Pick another currency or ask support to enable it.

Expires on. The date cannot be earlier than today. The link is valid until the end of the chosen day, in your account's time zone.

Each link shows in a card with:

  • the product name and the amount, or Open amount when the customer enters it;
  • Active or Inactive, Expired when the date has passed and, when there is a limit, how many uses were made (for example, "3/10 uses");
  • the public URL, which opens in a new tab, and the copy button;
  • Deactivate or Activate, and Delete.

Delete asks for confirmation and cannot be undone.

The link only opens the checkout while it is active, before the expiry date and below the maximum number of uses. Each charge created through the link counts as one use.

Payments made through the link show up in Transactions.
