Invite a client and set the rate
In the manager console (Reseller Program → Partner), the Invite client button sits at the top, on every tab. The rate of someone who is already your client changes in Edit rate and payout, in the client's panel on the Clients tab.
#Your cost is the floor
Each client pays a pay-in fee (per Pix charge) and a payout fee (per withdrawal). Each one has a percentage and a fixed amount.
Your cost is the floor: anything above it is your margin. The cost is set by the platform team and shows on screen as Your cost (floor).
Each part is a separate floor: the percentage cannot go below the cost percentage, and the fixed amount cannot go below the cost fixed amount. Below cost, the screen does not let you continue and tells you how much you would pay per charge or per withdrawal.
#Invite a client
Click Invite client. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and the client only becomes yours after accepting.
#1. Who is the client
Type the Client e-mail. It can be an e-mail without an account yet.
The screen does not let you continue when:
- the e-mail is invalid;
- there is already a pending invite for that e-mail;
- the e-mail is already your client. To change their rate, use Edit rate and payout.
#2. What the client pays
Fill in both groups:
- Pay-in · per Pix charge: Percentage and Fixed per charge.
- Payout · per withdrawal: Percentage and Fixed per withdrawal.
The fields start at the last rate you used for a client. With none, they start at your cost. Below each group, You earn shows your margin on each part.
When the rate you type is high, the screen warns you and asks you to check the example: "50" means 50%, not 0.50%.
Simulator. Type an Operation amount and see, On a pay-in (charge) and On a withdrawal, what the Client pays, Your floor and what You keep, using the same rule as the commission calculation. When the price does not cover the floor at that amount, the box is highlighted: you earn nothing on that amount. On some operations the real floor can be higher; the simulator shows the configured floor.
#3. Review
The review shows Client, Pay-in and Payout (the rate, your margin and an example in reais) and Effective from: When the invite is accepted.
Below, what happens when the client accepts:
- Acceptance: in their dashboard, or sign-up through the link.
- Account verification: by Rotta Pay, if not done yet.
- Active in your list: they charge Pix at your rate, and the margin shows under Clients.
Click Create invite.
#After you create the invite
- If the e-mail already has an account, the invite shows up on the Home of the client's dashboard, with your rate and the Accept and Decline buttons.
- If the e-mail has no account yet, the screen shows the Invite link. Click Copy and send the link so the client can sign up.
The rate takes effect when the client accepts. Until then, the invite stays on the Clients tab as Invite sent (Invites filter). There you can copy the link again or cancel the invite. See Clients and network.
#Change a client's rate
- On the Clients tab, click the client.
- In their panel, click Edit rate and payout.
- In What the client pays, the fields start at what the client pays today. The simulator also shows the client's minimum fee per operation, when there is one.
- In Client withdrawals · who approves, pick an option (table below).
- In the review, each line shows before and after. Click Save new rate.
Nothing is saved until you confirm. The new rate applies to charges and withdrawals created from now on; it is never retroactive. The client sees the new rate under Fees in their dashboard (see Fees). Changing only who approves the withdrawal does not change the rate.
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Rotta Pay approves | the client's withdrawal request goes straight to the platform queue |
| You pre-approve, then the platform | the withdrawal waits for your pre-approval (see Balance & withdrawals) |
| Automatic | the withdrawal goes on without your pre-approval, within the platform limit |
